The tool then doesn't buzz with every update. It stays silent, vigilantly guarding the expected stillness. It only rings the bell when that specific, curated silence is broken by a substantive, meaningful edit.

This approach respects the reality of web maintenance: our attention is the scarcest resource. By focusing our automated vigilance only on breaches of stasis where stasis is required, we move from a state of constant, low-level alertness to one of true, focused vigilance. We stop chasing every digital draft and learn to sense only the footprints. It is a quieter, perhaps more elegant way to work, listening not for the noise of change, but for the profound significance of a silence, finally broken.
